In this paper an example of PSPICE modelling and simulation of a 160 W push-pull DC/DC converter with 100 kHz switching frequency is presented. The simulation here is used as a tool for design optimisation. More in detail, an advanced application of PSPICE has been performed in order to identify parasitic effects which may strongly compromise the converter goad operation. PSPICE simulation and experimental results for the designed converter are presented.
