摘要
This paper describes two way satellite system environments on geostationary orbit (GEO) and performance enhancing mechanisms for supporting real-time services and reducing round trip time (R TT). The system follows Digital Video Broadcasting - Return Channel via Satellite (DVB-RCS) specifications. The client in the cooperative system can receive the data of DVB-data carousel and this can improve reliability, usability and compatibility by cyclic retransmission. And for performance enhancement, we use Performance Enhancing Proxy (PEP) for reducing round trip time and user-level real-time scheduler for reducing deadline violation tasks. We compared experimental results of the performance enhancement mechanisms with common DVB-RCS system.
