摘要
Aptamer-based diagnostics platforms for animal, human, plant and environmental patho-gens are gaining importance as they are rapid, user-friendly, sensitive and selective. How-ever, most of the aptamer-based platforms have not yet become commercially available. The increasing number of publications signifies the applications of aptamer-based plat-form and their potential. Herein, the present review is to describe, a brief overview of the development of various aptamer-based platforms and their applicability for the sensitive detection of pathogens. In this review, several aptamer-based platforms such as Enzyme linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA)-like assay, Apta blot, Apta Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR), Apta array, Aptamer-based Lateral Flow Assays (LFA), Aptamer based fluorescence assay, Flowcytometry-based assay, Apta affinity chromatography, microfluidics-based plat-forms, and various aptasensor have been discussed. Most of the platforms are highlighted will encourage researchers to focus on developing pathogen detection platform for various applications.(c) 2022 Nalecz Institute of Biocybernetics and Biomedical Engineering of the Polish Academy of Sciences.
