摘要
In this paper, a new single-phase five-level voltage source inverter (VSI) topology is developed by using two-level unit and three-level unit with coupled inductor. The proposed topology can reduce the number of active switches as well as DC sources compared with the conventional single-phase five-level VSI topologies. Also, the proposed topology solves the neutral-point voltage balancing issue because it does not need split of dc voltage capacitor. The operating principle is analyzed theoretically together with its switching state, and a current control scheme is developed to control the proposed topology. The simulation results are given to verify the effectiveness of the proposed VSI topology and its control scheme.
