The process of chlorine dioxide bleaching of NaOH-AQ wheat-straw pulp was studied in this paper. Based on the laboratory research, the mill trial Was carried out. The results showed that two stages of NaOH-AQ wheat-straw pulp bleaching with hypochlorite and chlorine dioxide, compared with the traditional CEH bleaching sequence, could get the same brightness. Moreover, the properties of the HD pulp with high yield were improved. The charge of water decreased obviously while the effluent from the HD bleaching process lowered the COD content.
