摘要
This paper investigates the effect of the complementary, split ring resonator (CSRR) structure on a bowtie patch antenna. This CSRR structure potentially reduces the size of the patch antenna by shifted to the lower frequency. This proposed antenna has been designed for wireless LAN communication at 2.4 GHz. Firstly, the work is designing the antenna (without and with CSRR) using CST Microwave Studio where it involves a matching network with the microstrip transmission line feeding. Then, the reflection coefficient magnitudes performance of the simulation had been compared with the fabricated antenna. The reflection coefficient magnitudes of the antenna are -30.700 dB and 3.85 dB of gain.
