摘要
The fracture properties and impact response of a glass fiber reinforced polypropylene sandwich structure are investigated based on a high performance closed cell aluminum foam. The skin-core interfacial fracture properties are analyzed through a simple fracture mechanics test using the three point bend sandwich geometry. A number of impact tests are conducted on simple beam-type samples to study the failure process under dynamic loading conditions.
