摘要
A simple microstrip line fed, multilayer cylindrical dielectric resonator antenna (MCDRA), excited in HEM11 delta mode, with nearly 23% impedance bandwidth (S-11 below-10 dB over 8-10 GHz), and the peak gain varying between 6.5-7.5 dBi over the entire bandwidth, is studied here. The aim of this work is to investigate, how the variation in arranging the layers of different dielectric constant is affecting the bandwidth, when the microstrip line is used to feed the MCDRA. The effect of change in height of different layers on the bandwidth is also shown. This MCDRA is compact and small in size, and can be used to design a wideband, high gain antenna array.
