摘要
The paper provides an overview of endovenous laser coagulation (EVLC) techniques using laser radiation with different wavelengths used in modern clinical conditions for the treatment of varicose veins. Also the results of in-vivo own EVLC experiments (on sheep) using laser radiation with a wavelength of 1910 nm are presented. It was shown that the use of 1910 nm radiation for EVLC provides successful vein occlusion with lower radiation power (4 - 6 W) and minimal damage to perivenous tissues compared to 0.81, 0.98 and 1.5 - mu m radiation.
