摘要：

Normal bulk and surface polaritons are considered in materials whose dielectric and magnetic permeability are described by diagonal tensors. Consideration is for arbitrary wave vectors k. A conveniently chosen coordinate system makes it possible to obtain symmetric dispersion relations. Their analysis results, except in the case of known polariton modes, in a class of solutions previously unknown.
