Preparation of exfoliated graphite by microwave irradiation

摘要
The exfoliation of graphite and intercalate residues compounds with H 2SO4 under microwave of different powders was performed. The residue compound was prepared through electrochemical intercalation of H2SO4 with an electric power consumption of 7.7 A h/kg, followed by water rinsing. Under microwave irradiation, a marked exfoliation of the precursor was observed, and after microwave irradiation, a marked volume increase of the lump of both residue compounds were observed. It was found that the compound showed larger BET surface area, which seems to be due to oxidation of graphite by H2O2 in sulfuric acid solution before exfoliation.
