Two cationic peptides Cys-(Lys), and Cys-(Lys)(5)-Ala were synthesized by Fmoc Solid-phase Synthesis and characterized by ESI-MS. The interaction of Cys-(Lys)4 and Cys-(Lys)5-Ala with ct-DNA was investigated by Ultraviolet Visible aborption spectrometry and fluorescence spectroscopy. The results show that the DNA-binding modes is intercalative interaction and the cationic peptides might have strong anti-ancer activities.
