EFFECT OF GROWTH REGULATORS (BA, IBA) ON MICROPROPAGATION OF GARDENIA JASMINOIDES L. IN VITRO

摘要
The expirment was conducted to study the effect of different concentrations of growth regulators, Benzyl Adenine (BA) and Indole Butyric Acid (IBA) to improve multiplication of shoot tips and nodes of Gardenia jasminoides on roots and shoots propagation in vitro. The results showed that the best explant part for the Micropropagation of the Gardenia plant under experimental conditions is the shoot tips culturing on the MS medium provided with 2.0 mg.L-1 of BA with 0.1 mg.L-1 of the IBA, which it gave the highest average numbers of shoots 4.80 shoots. explant(-1), the shoots length was 4.07 cm, and the average number of leaves was 3.40 leaf. shoot(-1). The results also indicated that the medium of rooting supplemented with 2.0 mg.L-1 of IBA achieved the highest percentage of rooting 100%, with highest root number of 13.6 root.explant(-1) and root length 6.34 cm.
