摘要
The paper presents a next generation of laboratory test stand constructed at Wroclaw University of Technology. It is a small-scale system. A mass of employed magnetocaloric material does not exceed 10 grams. The device utilises gadolinium as a refrigerant. To magnetised the magnetocaloric material a Halbach array is used. The assembly generates 1 T magnetic field. Compared with our very first device [1] many improvements were implemented in order to increase obtained results. Special attention was focused on a design of a magnetic bed. A newly-constructed multi-channel system allows to improve an active magnetic regenerator performance. In spite of a magnetocaloric material mass reduction, a temperature span has increased. Moreover, a heat transfer system was modified. Obtained results are presented and discussed.
