Synthesis of thermosensitive hollow spheres via a one-pot process

摘要
A new synthetic strategy to prepare thermosensitive hollow spheres by a one-pot process was presented, such that the formation of the sheets and dissolution of the cores were fulfilled in the same medium. The synthetic procedure of the spheres involved stages such as nucleation stage, nucleus-growing stage, and self-removing process. The microscopic image of the sample synthesized as the conventional microgels indicate that the particles are solid spherical microgels with a netlike fine structure. The results show that by modulating the content of sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS) between 0% and 0.15%, a series of hollow spheres with the diameter ranging from 838 and 280 nm are obtained. The size of the hollow spheres is dependent on the size of the templates, while the size of the hollow spheres is modulated by controlling the size of the nuclei.
