Application of processing map in TA15 titanium alloy

摘要
The high temperature compressive behavior of TA15 alloy was investigated on Gleeble-1500D simulator. The temperature was from 750 degrees C to 1 000 degrees C. The strain rate was from 0.001 s(-1) to 1 s(-1). According to the data from tests, the processing map of TA15 titanium alloy was obtained based on dynamic material model (DMM). The regimes of microstructural instability were evaluated using the criterion postulated by Prasad. The results show that the efficiency of power dissipation is high in 890-955 degrees C, 1x10(-3)-6x10(-3) s(-1) and 975-1 000 degrees C, 1.5x10(-2)-3x10(-1) s(-1).
