On the analysis of squeezing flow of nanofluid between two parallel plates under the influence of magnetic field

摘要
In this paper, squeezing flow of Cu-water and Cu kerosene under the influence of magnetic field with pressure gradient is studied using the regular perturbation method. The obtained analytical solutions are used to investigate the squeezing phenomena of the nanofluid when the plates are moving apart and when they are coming together. Also, the effects of the flow parameters such as nanoparticle concentration, Hartmann parameter and Eckert number are analyzed and discussed. The results of the analytical solutions as developed in this study are agreement with the results of the previous studies and the results of the numerical method using fourth-fifth order Runge-Kutta-Fehlberg method. The results in this work can be used to further study the squeezing flow in applications such as power transmission, polymer processing and hydraulic lifts.
