Structural safety analysis from design to manufacture

摘要
This contribution attempts to propose a framework to take into account the whole industrial chain to meet a specified safety level. It is pointed out how to organize design, manufacturing and maintenance processes in a safety point of view. The link between theses processes are established throughout safety parameters. It is showed the optimal selection of these parameters by using safety margins available with respect to the specified safety level. The studied examples enable to illustrate the approach and highlight what can be considered as safety parameter in an end to end safety analysis. Even if the aim of this approach is to minimize mistake and human errors through the design, the manufacturing and maintenance processes, one must not ignore the complexity of an industrial process. Therefore, the safety requirements must also be proved to cover all the life cycle of the structure.
