Electrical property of solid electrolytes based on Ce1-xSmxO2.delta(x=0.05, 0.1, 0.15, 0.2, 0.3), prepared by Sol-Gel method were systematically investigated. The results of impedance at high temperature show that Ce0.85Sm0.15O2-delta has the best electrical property, the ionic conductivity reaches 5.34 X 10(-3)S(.)cm(-1) at 873K. The NiO/SDC composite powder was prepared by mechanical mixture. The influence of Ni content in NiO/SDC cermets on the conductivity was investigated. It was found that the conductivity of the anode cermets sharply increased with Ni(wt%) content in the range of 40%similar to 65%. The best result were obtained for anode cermets with Ni content of around 65% the conductivity was about 1.43 X 10(-2)S(.)cm(-1) at 873 K.
