Sugar beet weed infestation according the growing area

The purpose of this contribution is to determine the Occurrence of weed species in the sugar beet stand's in Slovakia according the growing area. Weed monitoring was carried out on the selected Slovak farms with the different soil-climatic conditions during 1997 - 2004. Around 65 weed species in total were recorded and evaluated. The weed classification based on economic importance and the weed species list of sugar beet in the valuated three types of soil-climatic condition of Slovakia were worked up on the basis of this monitoring. According to the received results the weediness diversity varying from 23 species at potato growing area thru 28 species at beet growing area Lip to 45 weed species at mayze growing area. The work also lists the occurred weed species according it's economic importance as well as classifie's them into selected EWRS groups.
