Power division multiple access

This paper presents and analyzes a new multiple access scheme, which is power diversity based, for an asynchronous environment. The key idea is to have different received power for each user in order to permit successive reception based on cochannel interference cancellation. No other kinds of diversity are considered in order to keep the system complexity low and to focus the attention on the power division access theory. Furthermore, all users access the same band at the same time without code signature.
