摘要
Biomass is increasingly considered as an important resource of alternative fuels. The prospect of such technologies to convert widely available biomass materials into convenient gas fuel is very attractive. The Institute for Thermal Power Engineering of Zhejiang University proposed a novel biomass gasification project. A series of fundamental experiments has been made. The results show that the system can product gas and steam simultaneously and the fuel conversion is over 80%. Furthermore, the system has the advantages of low pollutant emissions, easy operation, low investment and high economical efficiency. This project can convert a wide range of biomass into medium-energy gas with lower cost and easier operation. It can be widely used in the areas where biomass is available.
