摘要
This paper employs a comprehensive investigation on the ampacity of thyristor-controlled series capacitor (TCSC) in load flow adopting Newton Raphson Load Flow (NRLF) and Automatic Differentiation (AD) techniques. Load flow problem evaluates state variables which consecutively handles control variables to accomplish operating and physical constraints. Mostly, TCSC control systems deploy impedance model based firing. However, the drawback of aforesaid technique involves an additional iterative process due to TCSC firing angle and reactance as they are non-linearly co-related. A novel technique synthesizing AD approach is proposed. The relegated technique is investigated on IEEE-14 bus system to authenticate its practicability.
