摘要
The available thermodynamic data on the platinum group metals (PGMs) are summarized with reference to the use of these metals and their alloys at high temperatures. The significance of these data with regard to reactions with various environments and resulting corrosion effects are discussed. The influence of solubility limits in platinum solid solutions on achievable strength properties and the importance of oxide dispersion hardening for further improving strength and corrosion resistance are illustrated.
