The present-day state of the problem of massive dissolution of disperse solid materials in liquid solvents is considered for the models of single-particle dissolution, periodic and continuous dissolution with cocurrent and countercurrent motion of disperse and liquid phases, dissolution of mono- and polydisperse materials during mixing, and the model using experimentally determined integral dissolution kinetics. The process of dissolution in cylindrical-cone and column apparatuses and in vertical systems with parabolic flow velocity distribution are analyzed.
