An Array Minkowski Fractal Patch using LTCC Technology

摘要
In this paper, a 10.1 GHz fractal patch antenna using Low Temperature Co-Fired Ceramic (LTCC) Technology has been used. A Minkowski first iteration fractal micro strip patch antenna has been used in this design. However, a good agreement in terms of gain still did not achieved for X-band operation. To solve the problem, basic design is then be improve by using array concept to increase the antenna performances in terms of gain and bandwidth. A comparison between two types of antenna array is done between 2 by 1 and 2 by 2 design. A simulated result which is the gain of the antenna is increase from 10.02 dB to 13.51 dB for 2 by 2 antennas by using array concept and bandwidth of 99 MHz. From the result, it is shows that 2 by 2 array antenna design gives wider bandwidth and higher gain as compared with 2 by 1 array antenna.
