Effect of weed control in fingermillet (Eleusine coracana)

摘要：
A field experiment was conducted during the rainy (kharif) season of 1994 and 1995 to study the weed-control efficacy of 2 herbicides and 4 cultural or mechanical practics in rainfed fingermillet [Eleusine coracana (L.) Gaertn]. Maximum dry weight of weeds was recorded in weedy check and minimum in the treatment with 2 hand-weedings. Due to herbcides, the maximum reduction iii biomass of weeds was found in the plots treated with 2, 4-D Nn-salt @ 0.75 kg ai/ha. All weed-control treatments recorded higher grain yield than weedy check.
