摘要
Copper use in electronics has increased significantly in the last two decades. Yet it is limited resource that increased in cost by at least a factor of 4 since 2000. This paper introduces an innovative use of copper nanowire technology to reduce conductor loss above 50 GHz up to 180 GHz that uses 12% of the volume of copper required in traditional planar coplanar waveguide circuits. The losses with copper nanowires at 90 and 180 GHz are 0.48 and 0.59 per mm In addition, the approach can be used in integrated circuit technology and is demonstrated herein on silicon substrates.
