摘要
This paper reviews vibration and control of long-span bridges, especially cable-supported bridges. Main emphasis is placed on vibration due to motion-dependent forces such as wind-induced aerodynamic forces. Recent topics on the vibration that took place in actual bridges are discussed. Implementation of passive and active control in the long-span bridges is presented. New passive flutter control of long-span suspension bridge using additional flaps and new semi-active cable control using energy transfer to higher modes are also described.
