Ceramic Matrix Filled Composite Prepared by the Sol-Gel Method

摘要
A ceramic composite material consisting of a corundum matrix filled with layered microparticles of lanthanum hexaaluminate and strengthened by alumina nanofibers with the fiber surface modified by zirconia nanoparticles has been prepared. All the material components have been synthesized using the sol-gel method. The results of studies of the material microstructure by means of scanning electron microscopy (SEM) indicate the homogeneity of the component distribution in the matrix.
