摘要
A planar high gain dipole array dual-frequency WIFI(Wireless Fidelity) antenna with Omni-directional radiation patter in the horizontal plane has been proposed in this paper, which is composed of the unequal splitter and unevenly distributed 1 X 3 dipole array. The width of the antenna is reduced without much affecting other antenna performance by using half of the symmetric structure in the y direction. The size of the antenna is 180 X 12.5 X 0.6mm(3). The impedance bandwidths, determined from VSWR <= 2.0, can reach about 15.2/14.8% from 2341-2727/5087-5900 MHz covering the proposed WLAN operating bands. For the lower band(2400-2500GHz)/higher band(5150-5850MHz), the peak gain is greater than 5.6/7dBi and the efficiency is greater than 79/60% Omni-directional radiation characteristic in the horizontal plane is acceptable.
