M-shaped dissipative solitons with polarization-dependent evolution dynamics

摘要
We numerically and experimentally investigate the propagation properties of dissipative soliton in single mode fiber. The M-shaped spectrum is found to evolve into a spectrum with two deep valleys. The depth of valleys is polarization dependent because of the nonlinear birefringence. The simulation results agree well with the experimental results. After a segment of fiber propagation, the input pulse can be reproduced using a bandpass filter to filter out the spectrum between the two deep valleys.
