摘要
This communication deals with the new design of a printed dual-band quasi-Yagi antenna with an end-fed dipole-like driver. Contrary to the conventional quasi-Yagi antenna design, the proposed antenna has an additional degree of freedom. Its architecture allows the use of any out-of-phase power divider which plays the role of a balun. A printed circuit board prototype was simulated through the full-wave solver "CST Studio Suite" and successfully implemented. The measured results confirm the proposed approach. In particular, the reflection coefficient of the antenna is equal (-18) dB or less at both the central frequencies of the section working bands. The measured maximum cross-polarization intensities of the radiation in the upper hemisphere were found less than -18 dB in both the principal cuts.
