摘要
The objetives of this study were: to review injury patterns in inline hockey, to identify risk factors of injury and to stablish preventive strategies. A search on inline hockey injuries was carried out in the online computerized databases: Medline, Cochrane Library, ENFISPO, SportsDiscus, Lilacs Theseus, OVID, as well as the Google metasearch engine. Only three studies regarding injury data for inline hockey players were found. Body contact and protection equipment unproperly fi tted and worn were the main risk factors of injury identifi ed. Mandatory full face shields protection at all players, increasing rink size and improving fl exibility and strength training programs to prevent muscle imbalances can be effective preventive strategies. Continued systematic collection, evaluation, and analysis of injury data are needed to identify risk factors and implement evidence-based interventions to reduce the risk of inline hockey-related injuries.
