摘要
Recent catastrophic failures of civil engineering structures or infrastructures underscore the need of effective and reliable structural damage detection approaches. To effectively detect damage, it is critical to propose damage indicators which are sensitive to damage, and insensitive to measurement noises. The objective of this study is to propose such a type of damage indicators. First, the dynamic residue based on wavelet transform (DRWT) is defined. Then, two damage indicators based on the DRWT are proposed. They can identify multiple damage sites. Finally, the proposed approaches are demonstrated by numerical simulations of a 20-story shear-type building.
