摘要
To evolve existing networks present in a city (electric, gas, water, public lighting and transport) may allow a rational use of natural resources (wind and sun), a reduction of consumption (energy efficiency) as well as the evolution of the energy vectors, obtained using ICT (Information and Communications Technology) as enabling technology. The city, seen as a collection of interconnected networks, can make possible the interaction among the different networks, and between citizens and the city, with the aim of making the city more suitable to the needs of the citizens; the citizens are committed in the creation of new sustainable cities through the development of communication technologies. The aim of SCUOLA project is to test an advanced system that can integrate and coordinate the development of smart grids, RES (Renewable Energy Sources), energy efficiency (from the point of view of both heat and electricity) and services to the citizen.
