Stark broadening parameters and transition probabilities in the OII spectrum

Stark widths and shifts of nine singly ionized oxygen (OII) spectral lines, belonging to three types of transitions (3s-3p, 3p-3d and 3p ' -3d '), have been measured at electron temperatures between 12000 K and 20500 K and electron densities between 0.76 . 10(23) m(-3) and 1.82 . 10(23) m(-3) using a linear low pressure pulsed are, as an optically thin plasma source, operated in CO2. Measured Stark broadening parameters have been compared to the existing experimental and theoretical data. We have controlled existing transition probabilities for twelve OII lines relying upon a relative line intensity ratio (RLIR) method and we have found that nine of them need correction.
