摘要：

The paper deals with an effect of AC traction system on power supply system in terms of current and voltage harmonics. Causes of their origin and method of evaluation using the total harmonic distortion coefficient (THD) are mentioned. The next section describes the measuring device based on virtual instrumentation used for measuring in operating conditions of traction substation.
