摘要：

In this contribution, we review the previous observations of giant X-ray flares from normal, non-active galaxies, and present multiwavelength follow-up observations. These are used for a comparison of different methods (optical, radio, X-rays) to estimate the masses of the SMBHs at the centers of the flaring galaxies.
