摘要
With the advantage of linear reaction, small volume, high anti-erosion capability and automatic signal transmission, the smart sensors made of Optiial Fiber and Fiber Bragg Grating (FBG) to monitor strain, stress, temperature and local crack have got wide application in civil buildings, bridges and tunnels. FBG can be adhered to the surface of the structure, and also can be embedded into the inner of structure when the project is being under construction to realize the real-time health monitoring. But the bare FBG is slender and easy to be broken. To design the protection system of embedded sensor is a crucial step with remarkable significance. Furthermore, the Fiber Bragg Grating is so sensitive to the variation of temperature that we have to consider the temperature compensation. To improve Optical Fiber and FBG and find better sensors have great significance in health monitoring of structures.
