摘要
This paper describes the development of an efficient mixed-signal architecture for blind multiuser detection (WD) in a DS-CDMA environment. The system is based on the simplified minimum output energy (MOE) algorithm for low hardware complexity. Various mixed-mode implementation techniques of the simplified MOE-based MUD are introduced to enable high operating speed at low power. These include the use of switched-current signal processing for the analogue adaptive filter, a multiplier-free implementation of the digital coefficient adaptation. The determination of minimum circuit precision along with the viability and efficiency of the developed architecture are demonstrated through extensive behavioural system simulations with important practical circuit nonidealities included.
