摘要
This short review presents recent photoemission data from Ce based heavy fermion materials. Results from polycrystalline samples taken using an unprecedented instrumental energy resolution confirm that high energy spectroscopic data and thermodynamic data can be interpreted within a unified framework. The advantages of applying angle resolved photoemission to study well-characterised single crystal surfaces is then illustrated using two examples. Finally, spectroscopic results from the Kondo insulator Ce(3)Bi(4)Pt(3) are presented. These data demonstrate how the influence of long range order in Ce Kondo systems can be approached, and show, in a dramatic way, the necessity for an instrumental resolution which is correctly adapted to the system under consideration.
