摘要
An experimental functional analysis indicated that the joint dislocation of a child diagnosed with autism was maintained by escape from instructional demands and possibly automatic reinforcement. A variety of behavioral treatments was subsequently evaluated, resulting in a treatment package that was successful in eliminating the behavior. The results are discussed in the context of conceptualizing and treating problem behaviors associated with physiological conditions.
