Bane chemicals detection through photonic crystal fiber in THz regime

摘要
Sarin, Soman, and Tabun are man-made nerve agents which were introduced as vice-regent of chemical battle. As they are extremely dangerous for human health so, it is very worthy to find a precious, safe, and efficient method for detection of these bane chemicals. Accounting this as the key objective, PCF based chemical sensor model is suggested in this research. Zeonex is used as the fiber material and this sensor performance is analyzed in terahertz regime. The reported sensor model provides enhanced sensitivity (94.4%) along with tiny confinement loss (1.71 x 10(-1)4 cm(-1)) at frequency 1.8 THz. Besides, the fabrication of this model is also probable by exercising subsisting fabrication methods.
