摘要
Frequency Modulation Continuous Wave (FMCW) is a widely used technique in radar applications such as Automotive Collision Avoidance systems, Perimeter Surveillance sensors & ... A key challenge in this type of sensors is phase noise, especially when long-range detections are required. Also, expensive low phase noise VCOs would limit the use of such sensors in growing quotidian applications (e.g. IoT,.). There are several kinds of software-based solutions to overcome this challenge. Here, two most robust of these solutions are described in detail; Their efficiencies are estimated and finally, estimations are verified by simulation. At simulation, a phase noise is introduced to a detection problem and, the above-mentioned methods of phase noise reduction are applied. At the end, these methods are compared.
