摘要
This paper investigates a scheme to mitigate the effect of the Thyristor Controlled Series Capacitor TCSC on distance relays. A Radial Bias Neural Network RBNN has been implemented to evaluate the voltage across the TCSC then substrate this voltage from the relaying point to eliminate its effects on distance relays. This technique is compared with a numerical method that uses Newton Raphson algorithm. Simulation processes using Matlab 6.5 software have been operated to prepare the required data for training and testing the developed Radial Basis Neural Networks RBNN.
