Azimuth Estimation based on Generalized Cross Correlation Phase Transform (GCC-PHAT) using Equilateral Triangle Microphone Array

摘要
Azimuth angle of a sound source can be estimated by time difference received by two or more microphones. The estimation method that is often used is the time difference of arrival (TDOA) because it can be applied to broadband signals (wide frequency range), accurate, and easy to implement. Performance of Generalized Cross Correlation-Phase Transform (GCC-PHAT) method has been carried out by experiments and simulation using three-microphone with equilateral triangle configuration. The PHAT function in the GCC method can increase the accuracy of estimated, because it has unique characteristics of a peak value.
