摘要
The purpose of this study was to determine if there are differences between American Indian and white, non-Hispanic recipients of mental health services that indicate the need for a modified treatment approach with Native Americans. Findings were that 38 American Indian recipients differed from a matched sample of 38 white, non-Hispanic participants in diagnosis, time since last mental hearth visit, education, and religion. This study raises further questions for study and provides some limited information for people who treat American Indian clients.
