摘要
Rhetoric and reasoning of "Kulturkritik" in western cultures are ubiquitous. Their sustained attraction is founded on deeply rooted schemata and expectations, which have been passed down since antique times through classical as well as mutable narrative patterns. One of these forms is the narration of restoration: A better past should be recovered to heal recent wounds. Thus, the discourse of "Kulturkritik" refers to a state of primordial integrity, which should be restored (restitutio in integruin). My paper enfolds the construction of these topical frames and schemes and tracks down the genealogy of these expectations of a restoration. Further, it will explore how these strategies of restoration are reaching their persuasive limits and losing ground to post-restorative forms of "Kulturkritik", without, sure enough, forfeiting the attribute of a ever citable topos.
