摘要
In this paper, a circularly polarized (CP) dielectric resonator antenna (DRA) with a wide bandwidth and high gain is proposed for millimeter-wave applications. A technique of stacking two dielectric strips is adopted to achieve a wide AR bandwidth. A backed cavity comprised by aluminum and substrate integrated waveguide (SIW) structure is used for gain enhancement. A high-efficiency power distribution feeding network is realized by using vertically stacked SIW-based substrates. The antenna element is studied firstly and followed by a 4x2 antenna sub-array. Simulated results show that the antenna sub-array achieves a 3-dB AR bandwidth of 29%, with an impedance bandwidth of 23.2% and a peak gain of 18.3 dBi.
